A total of five
BMCs are being proposed to be formed by the Biodiversity Board.
Training to 750 Panchayat Presidents have been already completed and
training for the 246 Panchayat Presidents will be taken up at the
earliest. The Board is waiting for the national methodology to be
introduced by National Biodiversity Authority to start the Peoples
Biodiversity Register at all levels in the Kerala State.
